Anna Hazare And Baba Ramdev - People make and break leaders!!

Things change and so do people. Anna Hazare is currently rocking the country and even expatriates across the world are coming forward to show support. Anna Hazare is indeed a man of substance, a very promising leader with austere lifestyle. He has happened to have united the whole of India (which only cricket did till now). People have discovered the power in them, which was suppressed till now out of fear of being alone. We tend to look for someone to guide us through difficult times and here we have Anna who has paved the path for Indians to know that they can join hands and bring down the injustice and wrong doing against them. Power and money has come down to knees.

What disappointed me today was when media was showing Baba Ramdev as a fugitive & coward and started comparing Anna with Baba Ramdev. Baba Ramdev, at one point, was praised all across the country and was regarded very high due to his contribution to Yoga. He brought yoga to each house and made people realise the importance of Yoga. He went against govt for people just like Anna but his only mistake was that he got scared of the police and started running when police tried to arrest him for protesting. He became the laughing matter overnight. A man, who once was praised by everyone, became a joke. His struggle is allegedly been considered politically motivated now. This all might be true but what makes me wonder is how things change so quickly.

It's strange right how we start loving someone so much and then suddenly if something goes wrong we insult him and move on. Our memory is so volatile. I just wish things don't change for Anna, and he shines forever like a star, i wonder thou!!!!

Anna Hazare and the protest continues...

Anna Hazare has refused to come out of the Tihar Jail (Prision) as he has been offered with two choices. Either agree to the 22 conditions that government has laid in front of him for the protest or Leave New Delhi & go back to his home town. Both the choices seem meaningless as the protest in a democracy can never be prohibited or drafted as per choice of the government, whose acting as a totalitarian. What is keeping the hopes alive is the absolute support of people that Anna Hazare is getting across the Nation. Its midnight and still people are gathered in front of Tihar Jail, from where Anna is suppose to be released and shouting their hearts out to show the agitation that has spread hysterically. The support and protest have been non violent and trouble free, making it all the more difficult for police to put charges. We impatiently await the next movement of Anna to pave the path of this historical protest......

Anna Hazare & Desire for a Corrution Free India !!

The ongoing events have forced us to think, how independent we are as a citizen? It's ironical that we just celebrated 67th Independence Day(15th Aug) yesterday and still trying to understand what independence really mean. The joy of independence was overshadowed by the pain inflicted, reminding us the very fact that how helpless we are in spite of being a citizen of a so called 'democratic nation'. The fundamental right to express oneself is not being granted. You will be jailed if you happen to love your nation or remind people to fight against the injustice they have been tolerating for years.

The release of Anna Hazare from jail within 12 hours has brought up one good thing that the power of people and power of truth is far more the power of money and politics. A simple man from a village of Maharashtra, Anna Hazzare, has woken the government out of slumber. Anna has invoked the sense of self among people and has channelled their energy towards a cause, Corruption eradication, which was long been awaited. People have come down on streets protesting as they have realized that it’s now or never. The whole struggle to pass the LOKPAL BILL in parliament would as said by Anna would abolish 60-70 % of the corruption in the system.

Now the government’s response to arrest people protesting and Anna, has come as a shock as we always were proud of being a part of a democratic nation. Denial of a fundamental right to protest or express oneself is rather a disappointing reaction from government. Police seems to have been driven by the ruling political party and army as usual has no inputs to give. The opposition party has been supporting Anna blatantly though the reason is pretty palpable.

Anna Hazzare is a vanguard of the movement. Anna Hazzare Hunger Strike against corruption and the agitation among people supporting him has reached high point and the ray of hope to have a corruption free India seems to have been becoming all the more brighter.
