Professional Tonic..!!

Having done schooling away from my home country, I did have the experience of being around people from different nationalities. I moved home for college and things were still as great as ever. But i realized right after passing out of college that working is all together a new world. Professional world is pretty different; it’s less about friends and best friends, and more about colleagues and bosses. I have enjoyed working all this while and thankfully, the experience has made me grow hell lot as an individual and have made me all the more mature. I have been located onsite recently for a new project and it’s given me immense opportunity to add value to my professional and personal life.

It’s a great feeling to work around people with different cultures. Here people have different approaches towards things, it’s not about good or bad, it’s just different. The work environment is also lot more professional, unlike back home where people waste a lot of time during the day and then hang around late to finish off the work. Here, everyone leaves sharp at 6 pm in the evening and somehow the time seems more than sufficient for the same work, probably because there is no disturbance. Moreover, unlike back home, where i used to spend lot of time following unwanted tedious processes, here i can focus more on work. It’s not that we don’t have processes here but they are just to the point. It’s now that i have started to realize how the work culture can affect the productivity.

Oversees professional experience is just acting as a tonic for my professional career, and i feel lot more motivated and responsible. The interaction with the clients give you a broader view of the business functionalities and one tend to see things at altogether a different level. Just hope to enjoy work as much as i do now...
