Some say i am changing..Am i ?
Evolving Indian soul...
I have a dream; i am a dreamer,
I wish i get what i wish for,
Not really for me but for someone who has made me what i am,
My desires are not for myself but for my parents,
My endless efforts are not to make me proud but my dad,
My wish for a higher salary is not only to buy myself material things,
But also to see if my family needs it,
You can find me in the shadows of himalayas,
You can locate me right next to ganga,
Yes,i am an indian soul,
I wudn't mind staying with my parents even when i am 25 and self-employed,
I don't wait for occassion to greet my parents,
I still cry over phone when i miss them,
I wudn't mind touching feets of people i don't even know,
I don't have to tell my parents that i love them,
I still feels my mom makes the best food, even if i can afford the best cook in the world,
I don't start a family when i get married, but i just extend it further,
It just seems such an ideal world of mine,
Some say i am changing.. am i ???
Am i becoming like my western friends overtime?
They are not wrong, it's just that they have a different way of life,
So is changing the way we have been living, is wrong?
So basically we think changing is incorrect,
But i thought change is inevtable,
So why do i feel guilty when i act like my western friends?
Why am i so attached to my conventional indian way of life?
I want to experience change,
Globalisation has made it so easy,
I have not changed but i have just broaden my view,
But some still say I am changing....am I?

I really like the change because it is the only way we can say "I am more happy that that other time" or "I had really good time in past but this is better(or worse) than that. It's only one life and I want(or need) to feel all kind of changes. About Indian way of life, Its a legacy man, We'll follow it and pass it to next generations because we are really proud of what we are, that's make us recognizable in world.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely rajeev..preserving our culture and values is always goood but adopting new values is not bad either...as far as it add up to your values..
